Hey y’all! I’m Devan (he/they),
A fellow queer and neurodivergent weirdo navigating a world that wasn’t exactly built for folx like us. Therapy should be a place where you feel safe, seen, and free to explore who you are, and that’s what I aim to create.
I specialize in working with ADHD and Autism, especially with queer adolescents and adults. In other words? This work is my shit. But I don’t stop there. My experience also includes supporting folx through gender exploration, sexuality, anxiety, depression, trauma, suicidality, and stress. I also love working with men on issues like opening up, challenging masculinity norms, and reconnecting with their emotions in a way that actually feels safe.
When it comes to therapy, I take a relational, liberatory, and creative approach, because I believe that humans don’t heal in a vacuum. We heal in connection, in context, and in community. My work is rooted in a liberation-based, identity-affirming framework that integrates Relational-Cultural Theory (RCT), Narrative Therapy, and affirming Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I also incorporate Motivational Interviewing, Somatic work, EMDR, and experiential techniques to make sure your support is flexible, embodied, and tailored to you.
At its core, my style is collaborative, curious, and grounded in the belief that healing is as relational and political as it is internal. I work from the assumption that much of what gets pathologized in this field is actually a response to systems of oppression, disconnection, and misattunement. So I listen closely for the cultural narratives, survival strategies, and internalized beliefs that have shaped how you see yourself. And together, we make space for you to reconnect to your own wisdom, rewrite the stories that no longer serve you, and reclaim your voice.
I love honest conversations, the occasional well-timed metaphor, and yes, sometimes even a good laugh. Therapy doesn’t have to be all serious all the time. Whether we’re unpacking survival patterns or experimenting with creative tools, my goal is to offer a space where your identity, community, and resistance are honored, not “fixed.”
At the heart of it, my goal is to help you connect your body, mind, and emotions in a way that makes you feel powerful - because you are.
I work with teens and adults of all backgrounds, and I truly believe in co-creating a space where you feel understood, valued, and supported. Therapy is a collaboration, and I’m here to learn from you just as much as I am here to help.
Outside of Therapy?
You can usually find me outside, soaking in nature, playing video games, or diving into all things spooky. I also love spending time with my partner, Bobbi, and finding new ways to bring creativity into my life.
Starting therapy is a big step, and I know how much it means to find the right person. If you think we’d be a good fit, I’d love to walk with you on this journey of self-discovery, healing, and becoming your most authentic self.
Thanks for thinking of me as someone you’d want in your corner.
